Botanical Gardens, Dunedin

Hi!  We are down in Dunedin now!  We escaped the rain and is beautiful down here!  We are staying with Tim for around a week then catching a bus to queenstown and renting a car for 4 weeks and camping all over the south island... so much to see here!  the car rental is only $500 each for the month with EVERYTHING included, except the gas!  Is just a little car... oh and it comes with the equiv of BCAA/AAA too! 

We are going to see penguins in the wild soon, next few days... they have a wall set up so you can walk along and see them without disturbing them... just have to be quiet and no flash cameras...  they are tiny little ones, under a foot tall!  We saw some at the zoo in Auckland... and some other cool animals!  had fun! 

We took the train from Auckland to Wellington, took 12 hours, was way too long to be on a train!!  everyone was grumbling by the time we got there... was rainy the whole trip too, and the double paned windows made it impossible to get a good picture... I did go outside on the train to take a few pictures, but wasn't much fun out there!  It was rainy and gloomy in Wellington so we caught a flight first thing the next day to Dunedin!

Yesterday we went to the botanical gardens here... was a huge place!! and free!!  I did get a lot of pictures there, you'll see!  Our legs are getting a good workout here... everything is steep rolling hills!  Tims place is way up on a hill with a great view!
