Milford Sound Feb. 3rd

Hey!  Just have a few mins at a museum to update every one...

The day before we drove from Queenstown to Milford Sound were we spend the night for free in our tent, not much sleep, lots of sand flies and lots of noisy people!  We got up early and had our wonderful cruise through Milford Sound... We even saw one of those rare yellow eyed penguins lazing around in the water!  It was foggy and wet, but we still could see quite a bit!  Was great!  We were smart and got one of the smaller boats rather than the giant tourist beastly boats that carry hundreds of people!  Maybe 30 people max on ours!  After that we drove back to Te Anu where we found a nice camp ground and set up, drove into town and got huge yummy steaks to BBQ up MMmmmm they were yummy!

That night we had a cruise on lake Te Anu to the Glow Worm Caves... they were amazing!  We got there around sun set, that was also amazing!  Perfect scenery!  We got back to camp after 11pm and there were a zillion stars above before the fog started to come in...

Then today we started driving, went down to the ocean to Gemstone Beach... A beach where gemstones wash up ashore daily!  All polished and round from the treacherous ocean!! I wanted to take them all home with me!! Oh well!  It has been raining all day, as it usually does on this part of the island...  We are about to check out the museum/art gallery...

Anyway, better run before this times out and all is lost!
