Tofino BC Jackie and I arrived in Tofino just in time for the sun to set, it was amazing. We were both short on cash so we decided just to sleep in the car. We found what we thought was a good place to park, but soon got a little spooked. We were all cozy, well as cozy as we could be in the car when we heard footsteps coming closer and closer to the car, there was no reason for someone to be walking by here... and the footsteps stopped not to far past the car. We decided that we had better more to an area closer to civilization and ended parking by a hotel on the side of the road. It got very cold and we hardly slept at all.

In the morning we went for coffee and breakfast and headed to Pacific Rim National Park. We walked around a bog, all the trees were growth stunted, it was like a tiny, yet ancient forest. Next we went down to a beach that would be where we would camp later that night. The beach is one of the better for surfing. Later we walked along Long Beach, beautiful beach with soft sand. After we checked out the Rain Forest trail, it was amazing. Huge towering trees and a winding trail, it was an areobic workout, up and down and around we went.

We talked to a man that had the campsite near the beach that we ended up sleeping on. His campsite was under repairs and not yet open, but he said he could hide our car and we could sleep on the beach. Sounded good for us, we really wanted to sleep down there. But judging by how cold it was the night befor we decied to purchase an inexpensive tent. Later that night we snuck everything down and make camp. We cooked our dinner on the campfire and called it an early very cold night. The stars were amazing, I swear we could see everyone of them out there, the moon was but a sliver.

In the morning we were awoken by a nice police officer letting us know that camping on the beach was illegal. I played the dumb blond role quite well and batted my eyes. He said if we pack up everything quick we can get off without any fine. The morning was beautiful and crisp, but our bodies ached from the cold damn nights, so we decided to end our camping trip a day early.

I had a bad case of sunstroke and needed to get out of the sun and in a proper bed. My suggestion to anyone spending as much time in the sun as we did to drink twice the amount of water that you think you should, and wear a light shirt to keep your arms covered, as well a good hat
